Perception

Meaning to write a blog for a long time and thought no time like the present to start. Some thoughts that come into my mind is the perception which is created by society towards a relationship and how are people supposed to function in a relationship.

For years society has set the norm which has defined the role of man and woman in a relationship. It has always been assumed that the man should go and work and be the breadwinner and the woman is the homemaker

Are men afraid of the title of homemaker whether it be raising children or just cooking. Can a woman not have a career and be the breadwinner. Can we not find a balance between the two instead of having restrictions. It is up to us to break the norm and form a new normal. We are living in the 21st century and are talking about progressive thinking but do we actually see it. I love children and find that cooking calms me but love my job and try to find a balance between all. Isn’t it time we do what is right and not let the stereotype dictate our lives.
